Monocore is a simple log of my monotron and monotribe plug and play audio recordings.
These are raw, usually one shot, soundfile recordings with basic post-recording editing.
Although there is no artistic or aesthetic motivation (and besides the addictive fun you get playing these instruments), there is some philosophical background and a minimal theoretical consideration: I like the idea of recording all the process of playing, this includes the actual build up of audible expression (melody, rhythm, harmony etc.) and also, the intermediate, trial and error aspects of the performance that usually come before the actual build up of expression. Monocore recordings are much more than instrument demonstrations, these are complete accounts of playing, testing, experimenting and creating.
